Setanta Construction was commissioned by Hughes McMichael to manufacture and install a bespoke 500 sq ft modular coffee unit at Lesley Forestside Shopping Centre, South Belfast. The project formed part of the shopping centre's ongoing expansion and enhancement programme, aimed at improving customer amenities and the overall visitor experience.

The coffee unit was fully prefabricated within Setanta Construction's manufacturing facility using modern modular construction methods.

Off-site fabrication enabled precise manufacturing to exact specifications, improved quality control and reduced on-site construction time. Components were assembled and tested before transportation, ensuring a streamlined installation process.

The unit incorporates a floor-to-ceiling glazed seating area, bespoke Cosentino wall panel cladding and high-performance thermal detailing, with careful attention given to sealing, waterproofing, and durability.

The modular approach delivered significant project efficiencies through controlled off-site manufacture, reducing on-site labour requirements, installation time and associated disruption.

Early fabrication and testing also helped minimise rework and improve material efficiency, contributing to overall cost savings and a more predictable delivery programme.

The completed coffee unit was delivered to a high standard, combining contemporary design with robust construction and long-term performance.

Off-site manufacturing capabilities enabled a fast, efficient installation with minimal disruption on site, while the precision-engineered construction ensured a consistent, high-quality finish.

The result is a durable, thermally efficient and visually striking coffee unit with bespoke finishes and full-height glazing creating an inviting space for customers.
